A Salt Spring Weekend

My husband and I just returned from the beautiful island of Salt Spring. We both needed a little break and decided to visit our favourite get-away destination. I had searched the internet for quite some time looking for accommodation and finally found a lovely cottage that suited both our needs - quiet, bright, very clean and arty, it was also very close to the town of Ganges and Fulford Harbour. The owners of the cottage have created a very special space that is cheerful and bright where one can relax and enjoy a quite time by the fireside, or spend meaningful time with family or friends. This little haven is tucked away in a rural paradise - so quiet and peaceful!

I will include a few photos. Though our visit was short, only two days, we both feel better from the break. We love Salt Spring Island and the folks there and want to say a big 'thank you' to the islanders for such kind hospitality and for 'creative inspiration' from the surroundings there - true hallmarks of Salt Spring Island!

Thank you for visiting my website.

Loved the texture and natural design of these photos Michelle.

Plan to visit for a wedding...do you have a link for the cottage you stayed at?

So nice that you were able to get away, Michelle! Even a couple of days can make a world of difference. Your moon looks very mysterious behind the web of branches. The markings on the light bark of the alders are always so intriguing. They make beautiful pictures. And the cluster of bare branches seems to be begging for leaves. :)

Hello Michelle - your photos are lovely! How have you been? It seems like Winter is taking forever to leave, eh? The next couple of days look ok but then we're back to RAIN!! We're looking forward to Summer here and SaltSpring is definitely on the list for visits - we usually go for the Saturday markets, so much fun! Nice to see you back posting too...
